Welcome to our Preschool Rooms, where your child can embark on an exciting journey of learning and discovery! Children generally transition to this room from the ages of 3 to 5 years old.
Educator’s reflect on each child’s development and endeavor to work on areas that might need special attention. Like the other rooms the curriculum and children’s learning is created to suit the emerging interests and needs within the group.
Event Summary :
- Like in the toddler room, we explore the children’s creative side through expanded arts and crafts activities, baking, playful language experiences such as songs and rhymes.
- Children participate in a number of playful opportunities that encourage a wide range of developmental outcomes, such as social, emotional, cognitive and physical development.
- Children’s sense of independence is promoted and supported as children often complete tasks such as serving their own dinner and pouring their own water. The environment itself also supports children’s independence with low shelving to allow children to source their own resources and materials.
